![]() Though I got it done, I promised myself that I would not ever just wait until the last minute with specifically this class, but with any other class also. I also realized this at about 11:15 the night before, and had about half of my outlines done, and my visual aid hadn't been started on. I am enrolled in Introduction to Public Speaking, and it's not that is a hard class, because it isn't, but I just get lost in other things and before I knew it, I had to present a persuasive speech the next day. It hasn't really been hard transitioning into a good student when it comes to out of class work and projects, but it hasn't been that easy either. So, when I came to college, I knew it would be different. But coming from a school that didn't really have strict deadlines on things, meaning you basically got points for turning it in be it exactly on or before the deadline, or 4 weeks later when you realize your grade needs to be raised up. In high school, being a procrastinator wasn't that big of a deal in my own opinion. Here are some of my favorite country lyrics about break-ups. Every country artist has made at least one emotional break-up song. ![]() Or maybe you think of Carrie Underwood taking a Louisville Slugger to her cheating ex-boyfriend's headlights. Maybe when you think of the words "country" and "break-up" you think of the way Taylor Swift went insane and switched from country to pop on the down low. (You'll notice I used a lot of Luke Combs). Artists like Drake and Travis Scott are very good and I am no way dissing them, but their lyrics never made me cry and give me a reason to rethink life such as artists like Rascal Flatts and Luke Combs. Other times I jam to the songs that have lyrics that make me feel strong and feel as though I can overcome anything that comes in my path.Ĭountry songs hit harder because they truly come from the heart and talk about real struggles everyone can relate to. When I am not in a good mood I love to turn it on, listen to the sad lyrics, and let the music take my mind away from what's going on. The best thing about country music is that the lyrics are so unbelievably relatable. I love some good trap music, but I don't want to hear gun shots and terrible language every word when I'm trying to mellow my thoughts. Whether it's a nice sunny day or a sad rainy day, it gives listeners a calm comforting feeling. I don't care what anyone says, country music is good for the soul when it has been beaten down.
